4th grade Making volcanos erupt





After sculpting their own volcanos from clay, it was finally time to add some baking soda and vinegar! Messy fun, but also learning that gases help move lava up out of the vent.

5th grade SF Public Utility presenter - Save Our Bay


We had a great guest speaker come to our 5th grade science for 90 minute presentation.
The students reviews the Water Cycle - evaporation, condensation, precipitation, accumulation.
They learned how bay water pollution has occurred through many decades and continues.
Hopefully they will truly work on their pledges to be a Clean Water Hero.

6th grade comparing mineral densities

By finding the mass and dividing that number by the volume, students explore finding the densities of various minerals.
