Fossil formation lab
Using different types of bread to create "layers" and gummy bears, Swizzlers and raisins for "fossils", the students take drill core "samples".
How do scientists figure out how old and in what period or era fossils come from?

5th grade

Continuing to learn about voluntary and involuntary muscles...
5th grade did an activity called reaction time checking both their left and right hands.
Then we did penny practice with left and right arms/hands.
Both were fun as they explored their reflexes and improved with practice.













4th grade

Continuing to learn about air, the 4th grade explores the concept of air pressure when they used straws to sip kool-aid, a Wind-Bag and a straw with a small styrofoam ball...
We are on our way to learning about FLIGHT!
