4th grade- recycled art projects
After a field trip to the Transfer Station where the students learned about WHERE recycling, compost and garbage really "go" after we put the bins out, they also got to see the Artist in Residence program.
They met an artist and got to see former artist's works. They were inspired by the use of recycled material or items pulled from the landfill.
We shared a class Gallery Walk of the finished items and read the title, the list of items and the importance of REusing, REcycling, composting and the biggie- REDUCING!
Here are a few of them, the rest will be coming.

4th grade
More fieldtrip pics.
In debriefing with the students, they seemed to really have enjoyed themselves. Lots of sharing and discussion afterwards.
I hope you all get a chance to use the passes in the books the students received.
Thank you chaperones for keeping them on track with their scavenger hunt worksheets and for traipsing around with them. You are a huge help and support.
Thank you Rock Program at California Academy of Sciences for providing a great opportunity for our 4th grade class - Free admission, lab AND transportation.
