4th grade- recycled art projects
After a field trip to the Transfer Station where the students learned about WHERE recycling, compost and garbage really "go" after we put the bins out, they also got to see the Artist in Residence program.
They met an artist and got to see former artist's works. They were inspired by the use of recycled material or items pulled from the landfill.
We shared a class Gallery Walk of the finished items and read the title, the list of items and the importance of REusing, REcycling, composting and the biggie- REDUCING!
Here are a few of them, the rest will be coming.

5th grade
Learning about simple machines and force and work.
Students created a compound machine and a brief explanation of the use as well as a diagram that identified: fulcrum, applied force, load and which simple machine was represented.

5th Grade simple machines- exploring levers
Working on a lab to discover what happens when the fulcrum is moved. Does it affect the applied force and load? Does it balance?
